Eijaz Khan calls Jawan co-star Shah Rukh Khan ‘a true leader and inspiration’; says, “He’s more than a superstar”

On Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, the actor’s Jawan co-star Eijaz Khan expressed his admiration for the Bollywood icon. Eijaz praised the superstar’s charisma, professionalism, and leadership qualities, describing him as “a true leader and inspiration.”

Reflecting on his experiences with SRK, Eijaz Khan said, “Shah Rukh Khan is more than a superstar; he’s someone who genuinely cares about every single person he works with. I remember during the Jawan shoot, he would make it a point to meet every member of the crew, greet them by name, and make them feel appreciated. It’s rare to see that level of respect from someone so successful.”

Eijaz also emphasized how SRK’s warm, inclusive nature fosters a comfortable atmosphere on set, especially helpful during high-stakes scenes. He shared, “Even in intense moments, he’d crack a joke or offer a tip, immediately putting everyone at ease. It’s a side of him fans rarely get to see but makes a huge difference to those who work with him.”

Eijaz: Watching SRK work is like a masterclass

Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication to his craft left a lasting impression. He said, “He’s not only hard-working but incredibly smart about every aspect of filmmaking. He has an in-depth knowledge of acting, direction, marketing—everything. Watching him work is like a masterclass.”

Eijaz also fondly recalled his first encounter with SRK at the beginning of his career. “I was lucky to witness his humility, talent, and work ethic very early on, dancing with him for award shows,” he said. “I performed in Showman of the Millennium 2000 at Wembley Arena, a show dedicated to the legendary Raj Kapoor and had small acting parts with Shah Rukh Sir in the dance sequences, and that’s when a few directors noticed me. Zarina Mehta approached me for Sarhadein, and Ken Ghosh for Ishq Vishq Pyaar Vyaar because they saw me with SRK in that show. That experience changed my life completely.”

Grateful for these experiences, Eijaz concluded, “He leads by example, inspiring everyone to give their best. I consider myself lucky to have shared the screen with him in Jawan, and to have been a part of his journey from the beginning.”
